Football changes lives.
You can change football.
Because every community deserves a great place to play.

Our Belief
At the heart of the Global Ireland Football Foundation (GIFF) is a simple belief: football changes lives. It builds confidence, belonging and wellbeing, and connects people to something bigger than themselves.
GIFF is a new, independently governed national foundation established to turn that belief into action, helping communities across Ireland build the facilities their players deserve.
We direct private philanthropic funding to grassroots football projects with clear need and strong potential for community impact.
The passion is already there. Now we need the facilities to match.

Football is Ireland’s number one participation sport. It unites communities, inspires young people, and creates a sense of pride and belonging across the country.
But our facilities have not kept pace, and too many young players are training on poor pitches and outdated facilities that limit opportunity and hold them back.
But it does not have to be this way.
The Global Ireland Football Foundation exists to change that by generating new private funding to complement public investment in football facilities across Ireland.
We’re bringing supporters together from across the world to help fund the facilities Irish football needs, from grassroots pitches in local communities to thriving local clubs.
Our Focus

Grassroots and Community Football
Pitches, floodlights and clubhouses built for communities – creating the local football facilities needed for people to play, belong and grow.
Lasting Community Investment
Unlocking funding that helps clubs and communities complete the projects that will strengthen football in their community for years to come.
Participation & Inclusion
A game open to everyone. Supporting the facilities that open the game to more people, including women and girls, and making football more accessible across Ireland.

Be Part of the Future of Irish Football.
Wherever you are, help build the facilities Irish football needs.
